Melody has been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2010 and comes to us with 14 years of experience working at an avian exclusive hospital in Northern California. During her time specializing in parrots she developed a special interest in training “spicy” birds and low-stress handling for our feathered friends. Melody graduated from the Karen Pryor Academy as a Certified Training Partner in 2013, has a training business, and has even trained therapy dogs and puppies in a prison program. Melody has “a few” birds of her own, including her soulmate, a 43 year old Yellow-Naped Amazon named Sammy. She is very excited to be learning with such a knowledgeable team and providing your feathered, furry, and scaled family with love and excellent patient care.
