Dr. Meera Kumar Music graduated from the University of Edinburgh Royal School of Veterinary Studies. While she enjoys working with all exotic species, she is particularly passionate about reptiles. Dr. Music's first job in the veterinary field was here at CBEAM as a veterinary nurse almost 20 years ago. She is now a managing veterinarian at CBEAM, as well the consulting veterinarian for the Pacific Science Center in Seattle.

She is currently working towards board certification in reptile medicine and surgery. Dr. Music is passionate about furthering the field of exotic medicine, and has authored/co-authored articles in professional journals and national veterinary exotics conference proceedings, presented a range of topics for local exotic groups, and has co-authored and instructed hands-on labs for veterinarians in the USA and abroad. Dr. Music is a member in good standing of the AVMA, ARAV, AEMV, AAV, AAFV, RCVS, AAZV, and ANAEV.

In her free time, Dr. Music enjoys spending time with her young children and husband. She has over a decade of vocal training for both Western and Indian classical music, and enjoys singing for fun and learning how to play the guitar. Her other hobbies include painting, reading, writing, quilting, gardening, and spending time with her plethora of pets at home!
