Dr. Kate Vanderslice

Dr. Kate Vanderslice is a Northern California native who has always loved animals, but did not expect to discover that veterinary medicine would be their passion in life. After receiving their Bachelor’s in Field and Wildlife Biology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Dr. Vanderslice found their enthusiasm for veterinary medicine while working at a wildlife rehabilitation center. Since earning their Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, they completed a one-year small animal rotating internship in Portland, OR and are excited to continue their training with CBEAM. Dr. Vanderslice’s professional interests include surgery, client communication, and providing families with the tools and knowledge to help their pets live their best lives. In their spare time, Dr. Vanderslice enjoys knitting, baking, hiking, stand-up paddle boarding, and snuggling with their two cats, Sir and Mango.
