Crystal is our Lead Technician, and a dedicated Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) who graduated from Weber State University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s in Zoology and a Minor in Chemistry. She obtained her Veterinary Technician license in Washington State in 2009 and earned her Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in exotic companion animal medicine from the Academy of Veterinary Technicians in Clinical Practice (AVTCP) in 2022. During her academic journey, she also gained research experience working with sharks, octopus, sloths, tarantulas, and various reptiles and birds! Being able to help sick and injured animals recover is a major driving force for Crystal. She is passionate about working with a variety of species; “There is always new information being discovered about exotics, even after all this time!” At home, she enjoys spending time with her children and pets- 1 dog and 1 cat. She enjoys reading, theatre, jigsaw puzzles, anime, and attending various events around Seattle.
