I never realized there was a special veterinarian in Seattle who would see my hedgehogs, rabbits and birds without having to stress about cats and dogs in the waiting room. And it's incredible that you provide 24 hour emergency services too. Thank you so much for everything that you do. You guys are truly a step ahead."

Welcome to The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine (BEAM)!
The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine is the largest, most advanced avian and exotic animal veterinary medical center in the Pacific Northwest..
The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine (CBEAM) is an exclusive bird and exotic animal practice with the expertise to confidently and competently care for all species of non- traditional pets. Our founder, Dr. Adolf Maas is internationally known as a specialist in reptile medicine, and is certified through the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP.)
The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine cares exclusively for birds, guinea pigs, ferrets, rabbits, chinchillas, hedgehogs, smaller rodents (rats, gerbils, hamsters, mice, degus), reptiles, amphibians, fish, exotic cats, goats, pigs and less commonly seen exotic species such as wallabies, kinkajous, fennec foxes, opossums and venomous reptiles. Simply put we treat ALL animals except for domestic dogs, cats, horses or cows.
Everything at The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine’s state-of-the-art, 7000 square foot facility was designed with the special needs of birds and exotic pets in mind. Dr. Adolf Maas, the Center’s board-certified reptile and amphibian specialist, is one of only 8 such specialists in the world.
Optimal medical care for bird, small mammal, reptile, or other exotic pets requires specialized treatment, diagnostic protocols, state-of-the-art equipment and facilities designed for these unique species. Just as we are not well-equipped to practice medicine on dogs and cats, many fantastic dog and cat veterinarians are not well-equipped to practice medicine on birds and exotic animal species. If you live in the Puget Sound area, your birds and exotic pets have access to the most advanced exotic animal veterinary medical center on the West Coast. Why settle for less?
The Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine is the only exclusively bird and exotic animal veterinary facility in the Pacific Northwest offering 24 hour emergency care.
Located north of Seattle, right on Interstate 405, our facility is simple to find and offers ample parking in order to make your visits as stress free as possible.
