Dr. Emma Whitmore is a recent graduate from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign College of Veterinary Medicine. During her time in veterinary school she served as the Illinois student chair for the Association of Avian Veterinarians, was an active student leader in the University of Illinois Wildlife Medical Clinic, and completed a summer internship at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota. Her fourth year externships included exotics clinics, an emergency specialty center and the Brookfield Zoo. Her veterinary interests include shelter and community medicine, clinical pathology, ophthalmology and fear-free medicine. She moved from Chicago to Seattle with two rescued degus, Susie and Penelope.
